The new Black Panther trailer is here! In Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character, also known as T’Challa, first appeared in Captain America: Civil War and will also appear in Avengers: Infinity War. The standalone film Black Panther, which is directed by Ryan Coogler, was announced much before Civil War was released. The trailer is cool, exciting and gives a more detailed picture of what to expect from the film.

After the turbulent events of Civil War, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) returns to his homeland (Wakanda) as a king but finds that there are many challenges to his sovereignty, especially one powerful enemy, Erik Killmonger played by Michael B Jordan. This would be a crucial test for the young king and his alter-ego. For those who have read the comics, Killmonger is a deadly enemy and more than a match to Black Panther with his fighting skills. Assisiting Killmonger is Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue, a black-market dealer. As far as foes go, this duo is going to be more than a handful for Black Panther.

The trailer is full of cool visuals, including an inspired look of Wakanda, a fictional African country. Wakanda developed in isolation and that is why its technology is vastly different from the rest of the world, and also more advanced. We can say with confidence that Tony Stark would love to visit Wakanda. The action scenes in the trailer are amazing as well.

The film also seems quite different from most Marvel Cinematic Universe films and that has probably to do with the distinct ethos of the character and his unique fighting style that is graceful in a feline way. Danai Gurira (Michonne from The Walking Dead) is slaying here too, both metaphorically and literally. She plays an ally of T’Challa. The film is slated to be released on February 16, 2018.
