Hollywood star Angelina Jolie says she was moved by the script of her upcoming film ‘Maleficent’.
The 38-year-old actress plays the title role in Disney’s new live action movie about the villain from Sleeping Beauty, reported Digital Spy.
“I loved Maleficent when I was a little girl. She was my favourite Disney character, so when I’d heard that there might be a Maleficent movie I was very excited,” Jolie said in a new behind-the-scenes video.
“I was really moved by the script. It was like uncovering this great mystery. It’s one of those characters that for me you couldn’t half do it,” she added.
Peter Capaldi, Juno Temple, Sharlto Copley, Brenton Thwaites and Jolie’s 4-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will appear in the film, as well as her children Pax and Zahara.
Lana Del Rey, meanwhile, has covered the Sleeping Beauty classic ‘Once Upon a Dream’ for the movie. ‘Maleficent’ will be released in cinemas on May 28.
