Past Forward

Reputed award-winning Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi’s Le Passe, which is Iran’s official entry to the 86th Academy Awards, has been obtained by film distributor Picture Works for an India release. The French film is about a divorced woman who is caught between the feelings of her ex-husband who is returning after four years, and her current French boyfriend.

Aanand’s next a rom-com

Aanand L Rai, of Raanjhanaa fame, recently announced that his next will also be a love story. “It will be ready in the first week of November and then I will finalise the cast and locations. It is a rom-com with an old world charm to it,and a hint of desi tadka. Based in India,it will showcase a few metropolitan cities in a different light,” said Rai. “It’s not your usual happy-go-lucky story. This film will be very different from Raanjhanaa,” he said. When asked about approaching Dhanush for the project,he said,“No,I am looking at casting someone else. But once I am done with scripting this film as well as the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu,I will definitely write something for Dhanush.”
