Rohit Shetty cancels ‘Chennai Express’ shoot for injured stuntman

Rohit stayed at the hospital to oversee Shankar's treatment and care.

Bollywood director Rohit Shetty is known to be a person who is very particular about timings,but the director cancelled the day’s shooting of Chennai Express after the film’s stuntman Shankar Anna suffered burn injuries on Friday last week.

Shankar was shooting for a car chase sequence in Wai when the mishap took place. An insider from the unit said Shankar’s fire suit came as a relief at the time of the mishap.

He added that Rohit wasted no time in taking Shankar Anna to the hospital in his own car and made sure that the doctors attended to him.

Rohit stayed at the hospital to oversee Shankar’s treatment and care.

Even though SRK wasn’t on location when the mishap happened,news is that he is in constant touch with Rohit to enquire about Shankar’s treatment. SRK also suggested that they move him to Mumbai for better treatment.
