Time for the Weird Sisters to move over because there’s a new musical act in the Wizarding World: Lord Voldemort singing his own rendition of Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk. “Dark Lord Funk” sees the Harry Potter villain and his crew putting their own Death Eater spin on the hit track as they prepare to wage war on Hogwarts. The stylish remix features special effects, a python, and the Harry Potter theme done Bruno Mars-style. Yes, all of this, plus a band called Tom and the Riddles. The video, uploaded March 23, has been viewed 4.9 million times.

Municipal violations

In his newest episode on Last Week Tonight, watched 2 million times, John Oliver explains how a simple traffic ticket can cause your life to spiral out of control. People who can’t afford to pay their fine immediately often have their licence suspended. And this makes it tough for them to get to work, hurting their ability to earn money towards paying the fine. Those who can’t afford it can sometimes sign up for a payment plan, which often requires an upfront payment. Add in late fees and court costs, and this small fine could turn into thousands of dollars.

The Zayn Malik trouble

When One Direction’s Zayn Malik announced Thursday that he had quit the boy band, his fans wasted no time in taking to Twitter and Instagram to share their hysterical reactions, ranging from imploring their idol to change his mind, to comparing his departure to a death. In one part, a fan even committed fake suicide. ReBlop TV compiled a list of reactions on YouTube that’s been viewed almost half a million times. A disturbing hashtag — #cut4zayn — also began trending on Twitter that day, sparking self-harming fears.
