Kainaat Arora, who was last seen in Grand Masti, opposite Vivek Oberoi,is back to doing item numbers. Arora had made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar with the item number Aila re aila from the film Khatta Meetha. While her first was a dhinchak, tapori track, her current one in the Vikram Bhatt production,Hate Story 2 is a bar number. Ask her about why she opted for an item number after a full-fledged role in Grand Masti, she says,“I had taken a conscious decision to stay away from doing item songs in Bollywood because I did not want to get typecast. However,I could not resist this offer after I heard the lyrics of the bar number. Besides,I am doing an item song after a significant gap. The song is quite sensuous, set in a bar, created in a Mumbai studio.” The song,to be choreographed by Raju Khan, went on the floors on October 17. Co-produced by Bhushan Kumar,Hate Story 2 is a sequel to Hate Story, the 2012 release. The film stars Sushant Singh,Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.
