Anurag Kashyap to distribute Tamil film Pardesi

Life can’t more ironical than this one for Anurag Kashyap. There was a time when he was treated as a ‘pardesi’ (stranger) in Bollywood,and today,the situation is that he is all set to distribute the Tamil film Pardesi in North India,with English and Hindi subtitles,through his company Phantom Films.

Talking about Bala,the film’s director,Anurag said that he is one of the most talented filmmakers presently. Amidst a casual conversation with Anurag,when Bala told him that no one is interested in regional films in North India,Anurag decided to release Pardesi in North India as he wanted the film going audiences to watch quality cinema from all the regions.

Pardesi,which is a film about the sorry state of tea workers in the pre-independence India,stars Adahrva,Vedhika Kumar and Dhansika.
