Actor Abhay Deol who made his singing debut in ‘Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara’ with ‘Senorita’ will get to sing again in his upcoming film ‘Rock the Shaadi’ in which he plays the character of a rock band member.

‘Rock the Shaadi’ will see Abhay being paired opposite Genelia D’Souza for the first time. The movie which will go on floors soon will be produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Navdeep Singh and expected to be released next year.

The title ‘Rock the Shaadi’ was suggested by none other than Abhay himself.

“Once during a cast and crew meeting,Ekta announced that whoever came up with an interesting title for the movie would be rewarded. And so the competition amongst the cast and crew began,of course in a casual and funny way.

“That’s when Abhay suggested the name ‘Rock the Shaadi’ given that the film is a fun, crazy comedy. The moment everyone heard it,they were convinced that the title ‘Rock the Shaadi’ actually rocked and decided to lock it immediately,” a source said.

Ekta has roped in Ram Sampath to compose the music for the film. Ram,whose last film was ‘Delhi Belly’ said the film fascinated him to the core.

‘Rock The Shaadi’,earlier titled as ‘Shaadi of the Dead’,centres around a Punjabi wedding.
