Were so used to putting things in a box, just so we can put a title to it and sell it. But some films dont necessarily fall into a genre. One By Two is more like a slice-of-life film
The final edit of Abhay Deols maiden production One By Two is ready and the film is set to release four months from now. A lot of producers have a hard time, but Ive had a great team, partner and co-producers to back the project. We finished the film three days ahead of the 51 day schedule and within the budget. Now the final edit is ready and Im four months away from release. Its rare and I hope I have the same experience in my second production as well, says Abhay.
Ask him to say more about the film and its genre and he says,Were still figuring out the pitch, because its a hard one to nail or put into a genre. Ive said earlier that its a romcom, and though it has romance and comedy, its not a typical romcom. Were so used to putting things in a box, just so we can put a title to it and sell it. But right now, what I can think of,is that its a story that deals with every day issues and every day problems like work, love and ambition. Everyone living in cities who know how hard it is to find love, and balance family with work, will relate to it. For the director,Devika Bhagat, its very much a slice-of-life film, says Deol.
