MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is currently the high point of Sushant Singh Rajput’s career. The actor has worked day and night to get into the shoes of India’s most successful cricket captain, so much so that he even mastered Dhoni’s iconic helicopter shot. We have seen Dhoni, the Indian skipper. But little do we know what went behind making of Dhoni, the brand. And the sports biopic is doing exactly that, telling us the ‘untold story’ of the cricketer. It is understandable if the audience is curious to know what the film is about. But is it fair to hide the storyline from Dhoni himself, on whose life the film is based? Well, a new video suggests exactly this, that the makers are keeping the plot of the film under wraps from even the man himself! The funny video has both the real and reel Dhoni fighting over what lies ahead.
The makers of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story have successfully managed to keep most of the details about the film behind closed doors, to keep the excitement soaring. Whatever we managed to guess was through its trailers and songs, which suggests that there was much more to Dhoni’s life before he lead the Indian cricket to win the World Cup in 2011. The film shows the other side of Dhoni. The boy who left football for cricket, the teenager who is obsessed with cricket and the young man who is not satisfied with being another face in the crowd. This makes the film one of the most awaited ones this season. And this video shows the real Dhoni getting as curious about the film as the audience. He is pleading with Sushant to divulge some details like whether the film has songs and whether he has danced too. The are playing a racing game on television, but also fighting out sitting on their couches over the film. All this while, Sushant Singh Rajput isn’t revealing anything, saying he has signed a contract with the film’s producers.
We have seen Dhoni’s success onfield. The film promises to show us what went behind that stardom. The film which releases on September 30, also stars Anupam Kher, Rajesh Sharma, Bhumika Chawla, Kiara Advani and Disha Patani.
