PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will be abolished, leaving people shocked. While the move has been lauded as bold and brave, it has left a lot of people scratching their heads about how to replace their existing notes.

While Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to introduce us to the new Rs 2000 note, which will be out soon, son Abhishek Bachchan shared information of what to do with the older notes.

Abhishek shared two images on his Instagram account and they will be a real help to all. The images show the steps you need to take to change the existing Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes for the new ones. One of the images the Dhoom actor shared reads as: “Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes cease to be legal tender. Here is what you can do.”
