Three masked men attacked Mallika Sherawat and her French boyfriend, Cyrille Auxenfans with tear-gas and beat them up in her apartment block in Paris on November 11. This is not for the first time that a celebrity has been attacked in the French capital. Just over a month ago, reports were abuzz about the US reality star, Kim Kardashian, was robbed and assaulted in the city. The television personality was attacked and robbed at gunpoint of jewellery worth millions of pounds when she was in her apartment at the Hotel Pourtales on October 3.
However, according to the sources of French news agency, AFP, this time the robbers fled without taking anything, further mystifying the investigators. “We cannot understand why the attackers fled without taking anything,” a source in the investigation told AFP. Nobody was immediately available to comment at the Paris prosecutor’s office and a police spokesman also declined to comment.
But it is being speculated that both the celebs might have been attacked by the same gang of robbers since there are many similarities in the nature of both attacks. Kim and Mallika were both at their residence at the time of the attack. And, according to the media reports, robbers tried to take away Sherawat’s bag while we already know that Kim was tied and robbed of her jewellery of worth more than $10 million. Even the detectives suspected a robbery in Mallika’s case earlier, but the development about the actor not losing any of her belongings have baffled them too.
Mallika, who has been quite active on social media, has until now not posted anything pertaining to the incident. A day after the assault, she shared with her fans a video from Geneva, where she was travelling on November 12.
