Stand up comic and actor Vir Das seems to be going places. While he has a hectic schedule with about seven releases coming up,he is planning to sign three more films with none other than Nikhil Advani.

The stand up comedian obviously has an enviable sense of humour and his recent release Go Goa Gone is a proof of it. Nikhil Advani who is quite impressed with Vir’s sense of humour and dancing wanted him to be a part of an item number Duma Dum for D-Day but since the actor was busy,he couldn’t sign this one. While the two were chatting over breakfast,Vir presented his scripts to Nikhil. “I had three scripts with me. One was mad, another was crazy and the third was stupid. But Nikhil wanted to start with the stupid one,” says the rising star.

“Yes,Nikhil wanted to direct it and I will co-produce it with Nikhil. Also,I will be playing one of the leads and the film will have 2 more male leads,” says Vir. When asked about the progress of the film,he adds,”I am still in the scripting stage. Though it’s a complete one,it needs to be given the finishing touches,” says Vir. While the film is still untitled,Vir says that it will have cues from his own life. “The movie revolves around a boarding school. I also have a personal connect since I studied from a boarding school too.”

When asked him if the film is a rom-com,Vir denies it by saying that,”It’s a comedy film. Though I will be playing a romantic hero,I can’t call it a rom-com rather it’s slightly naughtier than that.” Despite his tight schedule, the actor will soon start preparing for the role and his first agenda is to diet. “I need to loose weight for this role,”

Vir also believes while the other rising stars are getting involved in a rat race,he wants to be known as the comedy hero. “I am trying to carve my own niche as a comedy actor since there is no one in Bollywood like that. Something like Adam Sandler, who found his own space in a large pool like Hollywood and worked with people he,was compatible with. I and Nikhil found that in us and hence I will be making two more movies with him. However, right now,I will deal with one movie at a time,” says Vir.

The director and the female lead are yet to be finalized and the film is scheduled to go on floors from January 2014.
