Actor Varun Sharma has directed a travel-themed short film, inspired by the Hollywood star Rowan Atkinson’s 2007 comedy movie Mr Bean’s Holiday. The Dilwale actor recently shot for the TV series Ice Road Truckers, India’s Deadliest Roads. During the shoot, when he got the opportunity to travel from Manali to Saichen in a truck, he thought of turning his journey into a “travel diary.”
“I am a huge fan of Mr Bean and always wanted to make a short film like he does in ‘Mr Bean’s Holiday’. So when I got this opportunity I thought why not use this to make my short film as well,” Varun said in a statement.
“It is a travel diary and it is very impromptu shoot. I enjoyed shooting it and I hope people also enjoy it,” he added. On the film front, the 26-year-old actor will be next seen in “Raabta” starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon. He will also be seen in the much-awaited sequel of the comedy film “Fukrey”.
Actor Varun Sharma will also be seen in Raabta and is all praise for his co-stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon. He says the duo share a great chemistry in the film. Raabta is an upcoming love story, which marks Dinesh Vijan’s directorial debut.
Talking about his experience while filming the movie, the Fukrey actor told PTI, “The whole experience was great. I really enjoyed working with Sushant and Kriti. They have an amazing chemistry. Dinesh, who is our director, is a very sorted guy. His vision is mindblowing.”
