After receiving immense love and registering massive success at the box office with his recent release Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan has added yet another feather to his cap. The actor has become one of the Bollywood celebrities to get his wax statue at the Madame Tussauds.

Varun’s statue would be unveiled at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong where he is the second Bollywood actor after the legendary Amitabh Bachchan to get a wax statue.

“It was a great experience to work with Madame Tussauds. I am so excited to get my wax figure in Hong Kong!” commented Varun. The Madame Tussauds sculpting team specially travelled to Mumbai to meet Varun and conduct a detailed sitting process. More than 200 measurements were taken. The team also matched the hair and eye colour of the actor. Varun also worked closely with the team and kept sharing his ideas on the pose of the figure.

Karan Johar also tweeted about the star and wrote, “Guess who is at Madam Tussauds now?? In Honk Kong! Presenting @Varun_dvn ….it’s on its way!!!”

Jenny You, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, said, “Varun Dhawan is one of the most requested figures and we are delighted to be partnering with this popular Bollywood actor. Hong Kong is a multicultural metropolis which makes us a unique brand. Visitors can meet both Hollywood, Asian and also Bollywood stars here at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. The worldwide popularity of Bollywood films makes people in Hong Kong increasingly embrace Bollywood culture. Besides, India is the fourth largest ethnic group in Hong Kong. We are confident that Varun’s figure will bring visitors an all-new experience.”

Apart from Big B and Varun Dhawan, wax figures of Mahatma Gandhi and Narendra Modi are also currently on display. Varun’s statue will be unveiled early next year by the actor himself.
