Vaani Kapoor is re-debuting with her upcoming project Befikre. The actor, who is appearing in a film after a long gap of three years, is excited, yet nervous about her movie. On being asked if she believes in the kind of love portrayed by her upcoming film or the love Aditya Chopra portrayed in his biggest hit so far – Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Vaani replied, “I believe in Aditya Chopra-kind of love. Adi has put his heart and soul in Befikre. I know you can’t make out anything from the trailer but that was intentional. When you will come to the theatres, you will be pleasantly surprised.”

This is for the first time that Vaani would share screen space with energetic Ranveer Singh. Praising the actor and his energy, Vaani expressed, “It is very hard to match his energy. I don’t know what battery he uses. I need to find that. It is unique and I love to watch his energy from a distance. You know, he is very infectious. He makes the room alive. No matter how your energy is, he will surely up that. It has been a good learning process with him. I hope I get somewhere near his energy.”

Further, Vaani added that during the shooting of her debut film Shuddh Desi Romance, she wanted to work with the Band Baaja Baaraat actor and Befikre was nothing less than a dream come true. She also felt lucky to have got the opportunity of working with her dream director Aditya Chopra, all in the same film.

Later, the actors shared their experience of shooting Befikre’s title track, which is also known as the ‘Dare Song’. The 31-year-old actor said, “Adi sir had told me way before that I have to shoot in red chaddi (red underwear) and walk around. So I had hit the gym and was on a diet. It was a unique process and we all would brainstorm what we wanted to show in the song. Of course, my red chaddi became the talk of the town. We are extremely happy that the music of the film is doing so well. People have made a point to praise the picturisation and the silly energy every song has in it, which in a way reflects about the film as well.”
