As the prospect of Donald Trump’s Presidency rocked the entire world, India and its celebs were no exceptions. The Republican candidate has already won three must-win states — Florida, Ohio and North Carolina — and seems to be on the course to victory and the White House. The pollsters, who had predicted a win for his Democrat rival Hillary Clinton appear to have got it wrong again.

As the bitterly fought elections head to the finish line, the world seems to be in shock. As Donald Trump seems to be edging towards the finish line to become the Free World’s new leader, many celebs in Bollywood took to Twitter to share their disappointment. Bollywood, a lot like its namesake Hollywood, has been largely supporting Clinton. From Salman Khan to Alia Bhatt, the stars were hoping and praying for Clinton’s win.

Taking to Twitter, Twinkle Khanna targetted Trump’s divisive rhetoric and sexual assault allegations against him. “Donald Duck waddling to the White House doesn’t seem to be just a surreal nightmare. Misogyny plays its trump card and wins…”

She was joined by filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who warned the US that end is nigh. In a series of tweets, the director wrote, “RIP liberals. Your time is up. Orange is the new white(house)… hahaha” He also wrote, “There is no left left.. and there is no right right. #gofigure.” As they started to talk about it, a lot of celebrities also expressed their views about how the US presidential elections are turning out to be. Kunal Kapoor wrote, “This is beginning to feel like an episode out of black mirror #USElection.”
