Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has bought a new property here, which will be used for her production banner, Manikarnika Films. According to her spokesperson, it is “a ground floor plus three-storey structure” situated in Pali Hill, worth Rs 20 crore approximately. The registration for the said property was done in September and Kangana will use it as her office space from early next year. The new bungalow has 565 sq.ft parking space. It is located on Nargis Dutt road.
The actor was seen this year in Vishal Bhardwaj’s “Rangoon” and Hansal Mehta’s “Simran”.She is currently filming “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”, based on the life of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. She will later turn director for her film, ‘Teju’. The ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor will be playing an 80-year-old grandmother in ‘Teju’ and will be use prosthetics to undergo a makeover. ‘Teju’ will be filmed in Kangana’s home state Himachal Pradesh.
“I will be sharing the profits. (Smiles) I’ll be charging as an actor, as a director and will be sharing profits as the producer,” said the ‘Queen’ actor in an interview with Filmfare.
Earlier, while she was promoting her film Rangoon, she had appeared on the chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’. On the show, she directly called the host, Karan Johar, the flag bearer of nepotism. The rest is history. Since then she had sparked the debate about the practice of nepotism in the industry.
She was recently in news for opening up about her relationship with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan on the show Aap Ki Adalat. She also spoke about the atrocities she dealt with during her relationship with Aditya Pancholi. Legal battle between the latter and Kangana has already begun.
