From an action avatar, he is now shown as a doting daddy.

Shivaay has a new trailer and Ajay Devgn has revealed a new facet, both of his personality and of the film. While the first Shivaay trailer was high on action sequences, this trailer is all about beautiful bonding between a father and daughter. Ajay, as in Drishyam, tells one the importance of family and his own commitment to protecting it at any cost. The bonding between Ajay and little girl (played by Abigal Eames) emerges out more clearly.

We see a distraught Ajay endeavouring to protect this girl. Action sequences are scattered all through the trailer, just like earlier. However, there are moments of care and love for one’s family that are squeezed in between. The haunting background score is yet another highlight of the movie. The voice of young girl presents a contrast to what we see on screen.

Like the first Shivaay trailer, this trailer also has some breathtaking sequences involving mountains, racing cars and beautiful locales.

Viewers also get a clearer picture of Sayyeshaa Saigal’s character as she joins Ajay in a rescue mission for his daughter. All in all, the trailer establishes different moods and emotions that Ajay undergoes. And how he transforms himself from a common man into a destroyer in order to protect his daughter.

Shivaay also stars Erika Kaar and is set to release on October 28th on Diwali.

It will be interesting to see if this trailer will somehow influence the audience to choose Shivaay over Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Both films are releasing on the same day. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which previously faced protest from MNS will now be releasing smoothly.
