Ajay Devgn-starrer Shivaay is having an average run at the box office. The film which opened with a collection of Rs 10.24 crore on Friday and did a business of Rs 10.06 crore of its day two is likely to see a spike on Monday. The film’s collection saw a dent on Diwali as it earned Rs 8.26 crore. The total collection of the film is of Rs 28.56 crore and this is also the first-weekend collection of the film.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the latest collections of Shivaay. He posted: #Shivaay Fri 10.24 cr, Sat 10.06 cr, Sun 8.26 cr. Total: ₹ 28.56 cr. India biz.

The film had a box office clash with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which is getting better traction at the box office. Taran also shared,  “Diwali pooja and festivities made a dent in the biz of #ADHM and #Shivaay on Sun… Biz should witness an UPWARD TREND on Mon and Tue.”

Shivaay stayed strong at single screens/mass circuits, unlike ADHM which is enjoying a better reception at multiplexes.

Shivaay has received a positive response from the audience and fans are flocking to theatres to catch the high-octane action emotional drama. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has have been sharing the collections of the film. But can it surpass ADHM’s collections in days to come?

Director-actor Ajay Devgn’s film also stars Sayyeshaa Saigal, Erika Kaar and Abigail Eames. Talking about how Ajay wanted Erika Kaar to be uninfluenced by Bollywood, she told indianexpress.com in an interview, “Ajay was very particular of not letting us watch any Bollywood films during the shoot of Shivaay. He wanted us to remain as uninfluenced as possible with the kind of acting we usually see in Hindi films. That’s also because our film was extremely different and he wanted us to stay natural.”

The film is expected to do better post Diwali celebrations.
