Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor will be playing the role of a conman in director Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s crime thriller tentatively titled Fake.

While the leading lady and the rest of the casting details are yet to be finalized, the duo who will also be directing the film revealed that Shahid Kapoor will play a scamster who pulls off a high profile financial fraud and eventually falls prey in the hands of law.

Set in Mumbai, ‘Fake’ is slated to go on floors later this year, after the release of Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Happy Ending.

Shahid Kapoor has recently wrapped up Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider.’
