Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who will be seen playing the role of an army officer in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon, is rigorously following an army man’s workout and training hard for his role in the film.
Shahid Kapoor has requested his fitness trainer to give him a different and tougher workout regime to gain strength and look of that of an army officer. And to gain this his trainer has included various activities like long runs, rope climbing, squats, dead lifts, push ups and pull ups of different kind that will help strengthen core muscles and gain lean muscular physique.
Shahid’s trainer has also included dumbbell swing and side bridge exercises for this regime and the Haider actor spends at least an hour each day in all these activities apart from regular workout session.
Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for the film in Assam with Kangana Ranaut. The film, which also features Saif Ali Khan in the lead role, is slated to release on October 14 this year.
