Starring Alia Bhatt in the lead and Shah Rukh Khan in an extended cameo, Dear Zindagi is a film that leaves you smitten. But if you haven’t seen the magic that Alia and SRK can create on silver screen then the filmmakers have given you another reason to leave your uncomfortable chair right away and knock on the doors of theaters to ease your inner-self with some comfort.
Dear Zindagi team has released another teaser, which they have titled Take 5. The teaser takes you through a situation that every girl in her twenties must be facing – unstable relationships. In the age of Tinder, relationships may look as simple as swiping right but come with their own complications. So, what to do in such situation? Don’t worry you have Jug aka Dr. Jehangir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) to the rescue.
Shah Rukh explains that you do not have to judge yourself for not being able to sustain a relationship for long. He says, “When we go to a shop to buy a chair, we do not buy the very first one. We check many to know which one gives us comfort. So, why can’t we do the same with humans?” The actor makes us realise that having options means you know what you are looking for in someone with whom you want to spend your entire life.
Though the film has released, the makers have no plans to end the promotions. Unlike other filmmakers who go quiet about their film after audience’s verdict, Dear Zindagi has been keeping its game strong in the market by releasing new stills, teasers and song videos. In fact, they also released a few behind-the-scene videos and a glimpse into the characters played by the actors. Seems like it is following the trend created by Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Every teaser had a special message for the audience. In Take 4 from the film, SRK explained why expressing is extremely difficult in today’s time. The actor says that since our childhood we are told to wipe our tears, smile when angry and not to hate at all, because of which by the time we grow up and want to love, our emotional system is so screwed up that we fail to emote.
Take 3 has Alia Bhatt falling in love with love and then falling out of it after which she asks Shah Rukh about why love is so irritating and in Take 2, we are introduced to the feeling – what if we could recycle everything, from cycles to humans.
Dear Zindagi, which also starred Kunal Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Angad Bedi and Aditya Roy Kapur in cameos, released on November 25. The film is doing really well at the box-office.
