Sarbjit’s poster: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda’s expressions reveal the pain

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda starrer Sarbjit’s new poster has been released on Twitter today. The film, which is based on the real events in Sarabjit Singh’s life has had fans waiting for its release in anticipation.

Releasing the poster on Twitter, it was written, “Here’s the #SarbjitPoster – it speaks a thousand words of the untold story and a sister’s struggle for her brother.” (Read: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dresses up in traditional red suit for ‘Sarbjit’s Punjabi song)

We see a close up image of Randeep, who plays the protagonist with his glasses on. His glasses seem to be broken from the centre which are fixed with a rope. On the right side of the poster we see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who looks troubled. She will play the role of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur. Sarbjit is based on a farmer who crosses the India-Pakistan border under the influence of liquor and is mistaken as an Indian spy. He was kept in the jail for 23 years until he was killed by the inmates.

Directed by Omung Kumar, who has also directed Mary Kom’s biopic, ‘Sarbjit’ also features Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumaar in pivotal roles. The film will release on May 19.
