A lot of rumours have been doing the rounds that Salman Khan is set to replace lead actor Saif Ali Khan in the third instalment of Race franchise. Putting all the speculations to rest, directors Abbas-Mustan themselves said nothing of that sort was on the cards, at least at the moment. They cleared the air around it and said that there is no confirmation on the cast as the script is still under process. “We have not narrated any idea to Salman. We are yet to take a call on Race 3. Next year we will decide about the casting and other details of the film. The writers are working on the script. We haven’t heard the story so we can’t say anything about casting. There are reports that Salman is going to be part of the third part of the film but the fact is work is in progress so it’s too early to say anything,” they said.
Abbas-Mustan’s last work as a director was Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon. The film marked the debut of Indian television’s most-loved comedian Kapil Sharma. The duo worked with Salman Khan in 2001 film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, which also starred Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta. On the other hand, Salman is prepping up for the release of Tubelight and is also hosting the television reality show, Bigg Boss season 10.
