After Aamir Khan, it is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Salman Khan who praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his decision to demonetise Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes.

“Congratulations, Mr PM. You have gone ahead with a very strong move for your larger vision to wipe out corruption in our country. That’s the larger overview that we as citizens patiently understand and recognise. Change isn’t often comfortable, but everybody will find their way to embrace it if they focus on the larger picture,” said Aishwarya in an interview with NDTV. Aishwarya was in the capital for her brand commitments.

Salman Khan was also not behind in praising PM Modi. He started Bigg Boss with lauding PM Modi’s decision. “Iss hafte kaale dhan par danaadan vaar padi. It is a fantastic move. I salute PM Modi’s move to wipe out black money”, said Salman before starting the show.

“Even am facing problems. I was in Hong Kong. I will have to go to the bank in next 2-3 days to exchange four notes of Rs. 1000 and six Rs. 500 notes,” added Salman.

Aamir Khan has come out in support of PM Narendra Modi’s decision to abolish 500 and 1000 rupee notes in India. Lauding the initiative that has been instituted to curb black money, Aamir made it clear that one needs to do things that the country requires it’s countrymen to do.

Speaking at the song launch of Dangal, Aamir said, “I think these issues which are concerning our country are more important. We shouldn’t see the short term impact of it. The things that we need to do for the country, we should do it. Even if it (demonetisation) causes loss to my film, I will see it as a small thing.”

Real shame on Indian Express for combing the news of Aishwarya and Salman in one article as if they both combinedly gave an interview to release a statement. In what way are they connected?? If IE has to combine the news of Aish with anyone, it has to be with her husband Abhishek. IE does not hv any family values. Aish dumped Salman and moved on very long back. Salman is not able to accept it till date and so is IE, thats y IE is still combining their news. IE is basically a pet newspaper of Salman Khan, its evident that this paper is getting paid by Salman. Aish is a very self-disciplined girl. Where as Salman is undisciplined, drunkard, too many girl friends, hit-and-run case, black buck case, etc etc. Aish is a very disciplined citizen unlike Salman. "Padmashri" is awarded not so easily, there are many things which are taken into consideration before selecting the award winners, like payment of tax sincerely is one thing. Aish paid her taxes sincerely as a true citizen, thats y evidently she was awarded "Padmashri", where as Salman is running around courts and police stations to bribe and clear off the cases against him. So, no comparison between Aish and Salman.

When you remove 84% of money in circulation, Govt should have made in advance arrangements to fill the gap. It appears, they did it without giving much of a thought. Perhaps BJP has eyes in the forthcoming embly elections in UP, Punjab, etc. and they would have filled in their coffers with 100Rs notes which they can use for electioneering whereas opposition parties will have no opportunity to spend like this. What a wonderful and thoughtful idea indeed!!! Hats off to Shah the BJP president!!! Let the common feel the hardship; less the common man suffer the losses in productivity, loss due to increased expenditure in printing of new notes and its transportation.lt;br/gt;Secondly, what was the problem if they issue a statement that these denominations will be withdrawn say from 1st January 2017 and people can deposit money only in their accounts and disclose the source. Those who does not have the bank accounts in remote villages, they can approach for converting these denominations by disclosing the source.lt;br/gt;PM's emotional speech is a sort of blackmailing indeed.

Sad to see that movie stars are being given so much importance for their views in matters about which they know nothing. Eminent economists like Raghuram Rajan and people of his cl have different opinion in the matter.

Heartening to to see that support coming from bollywood for a good but difficult move from the govt in nation building. Every nation loving person must support this step and rise above petty politics
