This week we have the fun and flirty trio – Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar – along with Govinda – hitting screens with their much-awaited ‘Kill Dil’.

Directed by Shaad Ali, who has given us hits like ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ and ‘Saathiya’, ‘Kill Dil’ is a romantic comedy that tells the tale of two killers played by the boys who were abandoned as children. They are brought up by mafia don, ‘Bhaiyaji’, portrayed by none other than Govinda, who trains them to be killers. All is smooth sailing, until Disha (Parineeti) enters the scene.

‘Kill Dil’ marks the return of Govinda to the big screen after a long hiatus and fans are eagerly waiting to see the actor do what he does best – entertain! “Govindaji is an exceptional actor. The character he is playing in this film is very different to what he had done in the past. People have never seen him like this. He is awesome as a villain in the film,” said actor Ali Zafar.

The film’s trailer, full of raw action scenes and bike stunts, was a big hit with the audience. Its songs ‘Sajde’ , ‘Nakhriley’ ‘Sweeta’ are also quite popular.

‘Gunday’ actor Ranveer Singh clarified that his character is not metrosexual in nature. “It’s a very soft character, and (director) Shaad Ali was telling me that after ‘Gunday’ and ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’, we need to show your softer, innocent and endearing side,” said the energetic actor.

The ‘Kill Dil’ team has been actively working to create a certain buzz around the film, right from the time of its poster releases. They have also been promoting the film widely across various platforms.

Ali Zafar maintains that though the film revolves around so-called goons, it has its bits of action as well as humour. “Kill Dil is a gangster film but at the same time it is very funny and quirky. It is very cutting edge, fast paced commercial cinema. It has a very big humour quotient in it. The film is a new style of storytelling,” said the actor.
