This has been a year of experiment for Bollywood actors. While Salman Khan and Aamir Khan chose to undergo physical transformation for their films Sultan and Dangal respectively, the new lot of actors are up for some experimentation with the concept of the film that they will choose. We saw how Tiger Shroff’s portrayal of a superhero in A Flying Jatt challenged Krrish series starring Hrithik Roshan. Now, we have a new hero who has joined the club and it is none other than the chocolate boy, Ranbir Kapoor.
After impressing us with films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Rockstar, the actor is prepping for his next superhero action film, Dragon. The film will be directed by Ayan Mukerji, who has previously worked with the actor in 2013 film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. According to reports, the actor will undergo extensive physical training and learn different kinds of techniques for the high-octane stunts. In fact, he was also caught by the shutterbugs while leaving rehearsal studio, where he was getting physical nuances right for his character.
While we are already curious about watching Ranbir in this new avatar, the news about the leading lady has made us even more excited for the film. According to the reports, the film will star Dear Zindagi actor Alia Bhatt. This would be the first time that both the actors will share the screen. Earlier, the two actors along with Ayan had flown to London to discuss the movie which is rumoured to be a trilogy.
Talking about the film during an interview, Ranbir said that Dragon is going to be based on fantasy and mythology but is being adapted according to the contemporary times. Revealing about his character in the film, he said that the film is about a “boy who will have some form of super powers. But right now, it’s too early to talk about it.”
