The Hrithik-Roshan-Kangana Ranaut public fight refuses to die down and the latest one to get embroiled in it is the Mohenjo Daro actor’s father Rakesh. Days after Kangana Ranaut questioned filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s statement on the behalf of his son, he has slammed the Tanu Weds Manu actor.
Rakesh had recently said that if Hrithik broke his silence about a certain actress, it will shock the public. Kangana, never the one to mince her words, said at an event why a father needed to speak for his grown up son.
Said Kangana, “I want to know why Indian men can’t stand for themselves. He is 43 years old. Why does his father always have to come to his rescue? For how long will he keep hiding behind his big, influential father’s name? He is an adult and can pretty much handle his own controversies in show business.”
Now, a few days later, Rakesh chose to react to Kangana’s statement, “I am still a working father and I proudly play an active part in my son’s life. And for those who find that unacceptable, let me say that for parents — children, whether 43 or 83 years old — are still children.”
About Hrithik whose Mohenjo Daro crashed at the box office, Rakesh said, “Hrithik has not gone through any hard times.Ups and downs are a part of every person’s life. Whatever he is doing, he is doing with a smile.”
