YouTube is littered with mash-up trailers. But not often we come across a mash-up video that pays a charming tribute to your favourite characters involved in the trailers. A YouTube user has created a mash-up mixing the audio of Shah Rukh Khan’s recently released Raees with visuals of Netflix original series Narcos.
The viral worthy mash-up brings out the striking similarities between Raees Alam and Pablo Escobar. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is said to be based on a true story about bootlegger Abdul Latif, who is said to have dominated the underworld scene during the 1990s.
Narcos gives the violent account of Pablo’s life, who had turned Colombia into the nerve centre of flourishing cocaine business from the late 1970s to early 1990s.
Like Pablo, Raees also lives and breathes business. They have similar core principle — what is good for business is good and what is bad for business is bad.
Pablo and Raees are hunted by federal officers, for whom taking down these criminals is their life’s mission.
Besides, both were dreaded criminals, were the bright minds in their respective business and ruled the roost during their times.
Above all, Pablo and Raees are super cool villains with abundant wisdom and wit. They are so smart that they both can write self-help books on how to turn start-ups into million dollar business enterprises. As the creator of the mash-up video has noted, although they are from different countries and time zones, Pablo and Raees would make perfect partners in crime.
The creator, meanwhile, should be appreciated for flawlessly mixing the audio of the Raees trailer with the visuals of Narcos. If you are already impressed by the Raees trailer and you binge to watch Narcos series, this mash-up video will blow you away.
Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees has been directed by Rahul Dholakia and also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub and Mahira Khan. It releases on January 25.
