Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu is releasing on September 16 but a few Bollywood stars got to it a few days before the rest of us. Stars like Kangana Ranaut, Preity Zinta, Dia Mirza, Yami Gautam and Kriti Sanon, among others, watched the film and going by their reactions, we are sure an interesting Friday awaits us.

The film is about three girls — Taapsee Pannu, Andrea Tariang and Kirti Kulhari — and how their lives change after coming face-to-face with gender violence. Pink is a courtroom drama where the three and their lawyer (Amitabh Bachchan) are forced to face up to how Indian percieves its women.

An overwhelmed Kangana Ranaut actually left the screening before meeting the cast and sent a Whatsapp message to Pink actress Andrea Tariang. She wrote, “I wish I wasn’t so emotionally fragile and could say this in person but I loved your work – so honest and so natural. Congratulations and I feel this will be a big success, so be ready for it.”

Baahubali star Rana Daggubati called the film “important for India.” He wrote on Twitter, “Just saw an outstanding and by far the most important film for this country!! .” Trade analyst Taran Adarsh agreed with him as he wrote, “Watched … Shocked.
