Shahid Kapoor has finally donned the attire of Rawal Ratan Singh as he starts shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-anticipated magnum-opus, Padmavati. Shahid plays Rani Padmavati’s (played by Deepika Padukone) husband in the movie, while Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of Allaudin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan.
The 35-year-old actor has just returned from a small vacation with his three months old daughter Misha and wife, Mira Rajput and is excited to team up with the ace filmmaker, Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time. He requested his fans to wish him good luck for the first day of his shooting. He wrote on Instagram, “Day 1. #Padmavati wish me luck guys,”
While Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have worked with Bhansali in Goliyon ki Rasleela, Ram-Leela, and Bajirao Mastaani, this will be the first time for Shasha to get directed by Bhansali. And it looks like the actor wants to leave no stone unturned to impress the director of the movie and his fans as he sweats out in the gym to look every bit fit and perfect in the period drama, Padmavati.
The Udta Punjab actor was on a paternity leave to spend time with wife, Mira Rajput. The actor took a break from work to make the most out of his initial days of fatherhood. And his recent pictures with daughter Misha leaves no doubt on him being the best daddy.
