Sources close to Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone have informed that the Padmavati actor recently visited the Padmavathi Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The actor sought the blessings of Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi.

The source further added that she really wanted to visit the temple of the Goddess before the release of her much-awaited film Padmavati, in which she essays the role of Rani Padmini. Visiting the temple was a surreal experience for Deepika. The actor also scheduled her promotions in a manner that she can set aside some time for her trip to Tirupati.

Things have been tough for Padmavati with various political and religious organizations objecting to the content of the film. Recently, in an attempt to put all the rumours and controversies to rest, the filmmakers shared a video in which director Sanjay Leela Bhansali declared that there is zero interaction between Rani Padmavati (Deepika’s character) and Khilji (Ranveer’s character).

In the video, Bhansali can be seen saying, “Through this video, I want to tell you all something. Padmavati has been made with a lot of responsibility and hard work. I have always been inspired by Rani Padmini’s story and this film is just a tribute to her honour and courage. But because of some rumours, the film is being dragged into a controversy. The rumour is of Rani Padmini and Allaudin Khilji having a dream sequence. I have clarified it earlier and I am doing it again through this video that there is no scene in the film which will hurt anyone’s sentiments. We have kept the honour of Rajputs intact. So, there are no such scene or any sort of dream sequence which would hurt anyone. Thank you.”

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film Padmavati seeks to glorify the tale of the sacrifice of Queen Padmini of Mewar. The film also features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji and Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh.

Padmavati is scheduled to release on December 1.

No country or society glorifies barbaric invaders and looters, who massacred children and raped and pillaged villages, temples and cultural ins utions to enslave the society. The Babri masjid, Tippu Sultan and countless temples and universities that were destroyed by barbaric thugs are symbols of humiliation of native people of India. I don’t want to glorify such criminals who committed unspeakable crimes in the movies in the name of freedom of speech. It is not secularism to glorify such barbaric invaders. Any Muslim craves for such glorification is a religious extremist. Anyone supports such glorification in the name of freedom of speech is anti-Indian. Not even single so called secularist supported people like Taslima Nasrin. Pakistan glorifying such barbaric thugs by using their names to name missiles.

The main reason is that the movie makers of Bollywood are known pseudo liberals and secular. If the affected expect fair treatment from media the experience is they will get foot ball kicks in the name of freedom of expression. There is no need for appreciation of Rajput community's beliefs about their history while making films as per their secular beliefs of the film makers. This confirms that our secularism is just a tokenism and appea t the descendants of which turned it into art and film form.

We must make this movie a FLOP to teach a lesson to these anti-social elements who are trying to sell our culture for their personal profit....Once FLOPPED, they wont dare to do it again......but if not FLOPPED, they will keep doing it....
