“Excited to show Aligarh at JNU tomorrow. No better place to have conversations on society, politics and our film than this hotbed!,” film’s director Hansal Mehta said in a Facebook post tagging actor Manoj Bajpayee.

The movie will be screened at 2 PM tomorrow at school of arts and aesthetics.

Supporting the right to dissent of JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar who was released from Tihar today after being lodged there for 18 days in a sedition case, Mehta said on twitter , “Don’t know #KanhaiyaKumar enough to be a supporter. But I support his right to dissent. And I support my right to
dissent.”
