It seems like Manish Paul has become one of the most loved face for enacting comedy on the silver screens as now the actor has been roped in for the remake of the Punjabi film, Jatt & Juliet 2, which is a sequel to Diljit Dosanjh starrer super hit film, with the same title, Jatt and Juliet, which was released in 2013. Manish, who is also hosting the celebrity dance show, Jhalak Dikhlaja, is now in Bangkok to begin the first schedule of the film. The shoot will go on for a month.
For the first time ever, the actor will be seen in a hardcore Punjabi avatar. Talking about the film, Manish said, “I’m really excited to be part of a successful franchise which is being made in Hindi. I am sure it will be an interesting experience.” Manish, who began his Bollywood career with Mickey Virus starring Elli Avram, has been extensively known for his comedy timing. Last year in 2015, he was also seen in the sequel of the critically acclaimed and a blockbuster film, Tere Bin Laden. However, the sequel didn’t do well at the box-office. Jatt & Juliet will mark Manish’s third Bollywood film.
Jatt & Juliet 2 was a 2013 Punjabi romance comedy film directed by Anurag Singh. The film, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, received a positive response at the box office. The film will also be made in Telugu. Filmmaker Vasu Manthena has acquired the rights of Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa-starrer Punjabi films Sardaar Ji and Jatt and Juliet 2. He will soon begin the production on their Telugu adaptation.
