After a recent dispute between the producer PEN India’s chairperson Jayantilal Gada and Sujoy Ghosh, where Ghosh had apparently asked for a whopping amount of Rs. 35 crores for making the film, the two now seem to have had a fallout.
Gada recently confirmed that he signed Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro director Kundan Shah for Kahaani sequel. Shah who confirmed signing the movie said that the second installment will not be a continuation to the prequel but an entirely different story. However the main idea of making it a woman-oriented film still remains the same.
Sujoy who is not happy with the recent turn of events, has claimed that he is definitely looking forward to continue the story of Vidya Bagchi. However,he hasn’t yet decided when he’ll go ahead with it.
Kahaani was a highly acclaimed blockbuster film which gave Sujoy Ghosh the much needed success as a director. But now looks like its sequel is caught up in a web of controversies.
