karan johar, karan johar no filter neha, karan johar kajol, karan kajol friendship, karan kajol fights, kajol karan kids, yash roohi karan johar, Karan Johar regrets making his fight with best friend Kajol public.

Neha Dhupia’s talk show No Filter Neha has featured some of the most candid interviews of Bollywood actors including Varun Dhawan, Rishi Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Sunny Leone, Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra among others. The second season of the show had some jaw-dropping revelations from the guests about themselves and about their contemporaries in the industry as well. But as they say, save the best for the last, Neha did the same. The finale of the season had the sassy, the quirky and the witty host Karan Johar.

The tables turned for Karan on Neha’s show as this time it was him who had to get into his storytelling mode. But as we play the podcast, we must say the filmmaker nailed it. From talking about his kids, Roohi and Yash to his guilt of making his spat with Kajol public, KJo had a reply to Neha’s every bouncer.

The most talked about fight of Karan with his best friend Kajol which the latter time and again refused to talk about but Karan wrote an entire chapter on it in his autobiography, An Unsuitable Boy got mentioned again. But this time the filmmaker regretted bringing up a personal fight in public. He said, “When I look back, I’m like, maybe it was something that I should have kept to myself. I think there are certain relationships that are so sacred that when you hurt from them or you hold on to that pain, you keep a lot of those feelings to yourself and leave it to one on one discussions. I’ve probably made the mistake of going public and that is something that is out there, it’s archived and I can never take that away, and those feelings are what I did feel but maybe it should have been one on one. But both of us want that we can get back to where we were. I have too much love for her and we hope there is a 2.0 version of this friendship.”

Revealing how his two bundles of joys Yash and Roohi became the icebreaker between him and Kajol, Karan narrated, “When the babies were born, I sent a message to Kajol first. I sent her a message saying that you don’t have to reply to this message but I really don’t want you to be seeing these babies in a newspaper or online. I want you to see what they look like and you don’t need to reply but I woke up with a dream and I woke up with a heavy heart and I just felt the need to send you the images of my children. And she replied instantly saying they look gorgeous and I hope they give you all the love that my children have given me.”

Talking about making the world meet his two munchkins, Karan said he has special plans for it. He said, “Kareena and I have decided it’s Taimur’s birthday party. He is two months older than them. Taimur was born in December. So his birthday party is where Yash and Roohi will make their debut appearance. Watch out Instagram! Because these three cuties are going to break the internet. I can’t wait for that photograph.”

For those who wonder why they see Karan always wearing a jacket irrespective of the weather, here is the answer. It is because Karan ‘feels naked when he is wearing just a t-shirt’. “I can’t walk around with just a t-shirt. I feel naked. Last night I went out with the boys like Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Adi and it was so hot. They asked me to remove my jacket because I was sweating. I removed it and I was just in a black t-shirt and I swear I felt naked,” said Karan.

Karan also mentioned how conscious he is about his body. In fact, when the filmmaker has to get into a swimming pool he makes sure it is pitch dark. “As soon as it’s pitch dark, at about 8:30 I go literally like a heroine, with a towel wrapped around me like no one’s going to look cause I feel like some paparazzi will come. I wear these ‘kaccha’ (long shorts) type of swimming costumes and then I wrap myself with a towel. I quickly slip into the pool so nobody sees me. Then when I’m stepping out, I have somebody to assist me and give me the towel like one big 90s heroine and I’ll wrap myself in a towel quickly and then walk out,” revealed Karan.

Going ahead in the conversation, Karan said, “Day sex is great, especially when it’s on holiday. Morning sex is even better if you can bear the person spending the night with you. 9/10 times I can’t. But eventually, it’s all about lights off. And you know, the worst is when you’re in the beat of it and in hotels, you don’t know where the switches are. So by the time you’re in the throngs of ecstasy and you’re pressing and prodding all over the place, the mojo is dead. The lights are off but the mojo is dead. It defeats the purpose. Which is why I prepare myself. I put off most of the lights, then I welcome the guest. And then I perform.”
