Veteran actress Tanuja, who will be seen in Konkona Sen Sharma’s directorial debut ‘A Death In The Gunj’, told IndianExpress.com that her actress daughter Kajol will decide if she wants to take up direction in future or not.
“My daughter has a mind of her own. Whether I think she should take up direction or not is not important. She will decide if and when she wants to take up direction. I have no say in that,” said Tanuja at press launch of Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan’s MacGuffin Pictures on Tuesday (January 5).
Tanuja also went on to praise debutant director Konkona Sen Sharma and said that she was the only director who narrated the entire script to her. (PHOTOS: Ex-couple Ranvir Shorey, Konkona reunite for her directorial debut ‘A Death in The Gunj’)
“The one person whose performance I’ve always enjoyed is Koko (Konkona). I’ve been in this industry for a long time, I’ve heard a lot of scripts but she is the only director who has narrated the script to me and I’ve closed my eyes and was able to visualise the entire film.”
Asked whose work she admires among the male actors of today, Tanuja said, “I don’t really look at them very much… I think they all are very talented and nice.” (Also read: ‘Dilwale’s steady pace at box office; Shah Rukh Khan’s film collects Rs. 187.25 cr in India)
