Many believe if there is one actor who can become the next Salman Khan of Bollywood, it is Varun Dhawan. Thanks to his spot-on comic timing and natural ease in front of the camera, his fans feel he can be the Robinhood Pandey in the most Dabangg style! So when papa David Dhawan decided to make a sequel of his 1997 hit comedy Judwaa, it was all in the family for him. But can Varun really replace Salman in Judwaa 2? As a safety valve, Salman has reportedly been roped in to do a cameo in the film’s sequel? Maybe because his Midas touch was all that the film will need to satiate his loyal fans.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Salman will be making a special appearance in Judwaa 2. And keeping in mind his flamboyance, his character will be named Godfather Gunda who will mentor Varun in his twin avatars. Salman agreeing to do the cameo has left everyone in the unit elated.
The shoot for Judwaa 2 will begin next year and it will be filmed on the beaches of the Mediterranean. Reportedly, its script has a lot of tapori slangs and the film even has a remix version of the blockbuster song from the original “Tan Tana Tan”.
While the search for its two leading ladies is still on, some buzz even suggests that Alia Bhatt and Jacqueline Fernandez are the frontrunners. For everyone who was trying to visualise Varun as Salman’s original characters of Raja and Prem, this piece of news will surely give them more reasons to eagerly wait for the film now. We hope Varun creates the same magic in Judwaa 2.
