National Award winning actor Dhanush, who made a phenomenal Bollywood debut with Aanand Rai’s ‘Raanjhanaa’, was not allowed to speak by the Audience at the recently concluded IIFA Awards, held in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The audience only had ears to Dhanush’s famous song ‘Kolaveri D’, a Tamil song from 2012 Tamil psychological thriller film, ‘3’. The song is written and sung by Dhanush and the movie was directed by his wife, Aishwarya R. Dhanush.

The actor was astonished that even three years after its release ‘Kolaveri D’ is a rage!

The actor tweeted, “The audience dint let me speak.Kept asking for kolaveri and I started blabbering.Had 2 sing a few lines. 3 years since d song.still …#iifa”

After the success of ‘Raanjhanaa’, Dhanush was signed by Aanand Rai’s next film and is currently shooting for R Balki’s untitled project with megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara.
