Akshay Kumar may be the fittest actor in B-town but he is dead sure that if he gets to play the role of a wrestler like the late Dara Singh, he would need no less than two years of intense hardcore training both to build an imposing physique and learn the wrestling moves.

Akshay Kumar was speaking at the launch of author Seema Sonik Alimchand’s book on Dara Singh titled ‘Deedara aka Dara Singh’, an event that he attended as the chief guest. When asked if he would like to ever play wrestler Dara Singh onscreen, Akshay said, “To be Dara Singh you need a wrestler’s body. I have to change my body for that. I have to expand a lot more on the chest side because Dara Singh was a huge man and I have to justify him completely.”

Akshay was candid enough to admit that he would need two years to put on the mass. “For that, I need atleast two years of training to put on that kind of bulk and look like a wrestler.” The superstar who is known for doing three to four movies per year said that he would only be able to take up the wrestler’s biopic if he doesn’t have too many movies. “So if I don’t have many movies, I can do it.”

Akshay also quipped that he will do the biopic only if the legendary wrestler’s son Vindu requests him to. “If Vindu requests me quite a lot then maybe I will do it,” joked Akshay.

To this Vindu rushed towards Akshay and hugged him saying there is no one better than him to play his legendary father onscreen.
