Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui who represented Kangana in the messy Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut case is having the last laugh after the Mumbai Police filed a ‘NIL’ report in the case. Cops have stated that they have been unable to find anything on the email ID as the server is located in the USA and it is difficult for them to ascertain who was using the account.
Reacting to this development, Rizwan told Indian Express.com, “We have always maintained that there is no imposter and it’s very silly on the part of Hrithik to suggest that this is the work of an imposter. Hrithik and Kangana have done three films together. They were very close and photographs have suggested that. How can Kangana start communicating with an imposter? When I had cornered Hrithik with my questions, he had no answers. Hrithik had lied to the media and police that there is an imposter who is sending mails on his behalf and that a fan had told him that. He then went an filed a complaint against this so-called imposter. And Hrithik started circulating private forensic reports through his team. When a police investigation is already going on, can you send a private detective and find out? Hrithik did all of that to save his name. Eventually what happened is with the police report coming out as NIL, it has been proved that whatever Hrithik was saying was a total lie. His lies have been nailed. NIL report means nothing matches with what Hrithik was saying.”
Castigating Hrithik for filing a false complaint by claiming there was an imposter at work, Rizwan said, “He is answerable for his actions as much as he is answerable for filing a false complaint. No one can deny the fact that my client had to uselessly bear the brunt of unwarranted and uncalled for actions on the part of Hrithik. Besides the truth being on her side, my client had the will power, strength and determination to fight for her name and dignity. The same would not have been the case for everyone else.”
When asked why Mumbai Police was not taking action against Hrithik if it was indeed a false complaint filed by him, Rizwan said, “Hrithik is a big filmstar. Had it been a private party, the cops would have filed B summary with prosecution which means you are filing a false complaint and wasting our time. Because of all these timepass that Hrithik did my client Kangana was publicly harassed.”
Hrithik Roshan is yet to comment on the decision of Mumbai Police to close the case.
Here’s what Hrithik Roshan has maintained till now:
According to Hrithik’s notice, the duo met on May 24, 2014 at Karan Johar’s birthday bash when Kangana approached the actor and thanked him for sending her an email appreciating her work in Queen. “To this, our client told you that he has not seen the movie yet. Our client further clarified to you that the email ID from which you received the mail was not his and he gave you his real email ID,” the notice said, adding that the actor has already lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell of the city police about the said fake email ID in December, 2014.
“On coming to know of Hrithik’s real email ID, you (Kangana) sent a barrage of emails to him. Our client tried to ignore all the emails (total 1439) to him even though it amounted to mental harassment and stress. Besides sending emails to our client you have also been telling people in the film industry about your affair with him and then called our client a ‘silly ex’,” the notice said.
What Kangana Ranaut said
On her part, Kangana claimed that Hrithik had himself provided her the email ID on which they were corresponding with each other till May 2014.
“My client (Kangana) states that it was Hrithik who wanted to communicate from a newly created ID because of his impending divorce. In an effort to safeguard his name, image and reputation your client (Hrithik) time and again malafidely and in mischief hacked my client’s email ID and deleted all the mails sent by him,” Kangana in her notice said.
