Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh may not have accepted their relationship publically but they never made any attempt to hide it from the world either. After speculations of engagement and wedding, they have now been plagued with rumours of a split. While we told you earlier how the speculation is not true, Deepika Padukone has now taken it upon herself to clear the air.
A few days backs, several reports suggested that all is not well between this sizzling couple. It was being speculated that their relationship had hit a rough patch. But, neither Deepika nor Ranveer spoke about the rumours as it is not for the first time that their personal life has been under public scrutiny.
But, finally the Bajirao Mastani actor, Deepika spoke on all the speculation in an interview with Hindustan Times. On being asked whether she feels perturbed about reports of her alleged break-up with Ranveer, she said, “I don’t, because there is nothing to ‘take’. I have understood it (the speculations) well enough to know what I should absorb and what I shouldn’t. After a point, one becomes completely immune to these things.”
She explained in the interview, “You can only do things that are in your control. Certain things are a given when you are in this industry. I am sure there are certain advantages and disadvantages of being in this industry. And this is one of the things one has to deal with, and that’s totally fine. The ups, the positives, and the love we get is way too much for us to get bogged down by the speculations or the negativity.”
Well, finally the fans of this adorable couple can take a breath of relief as they will not find the name of the couple on the list of many high profile break-ups that made it to the headlines this year.
Recently, the actor has also made it to the Forbes list of top 10 highest paid actresses of the world. Deepika is the only Indian on the list with earnings of $10 million. Talking about her achievement, the xXx: Return of Xander Cage actor said, “I was pleasantly surprised when I saw my name on the list, but I think it’s an achievement not just for me but for all the women (out there). In fact, I look at it as an achievement for women from the film industry as well as other professions. It’s not like my focus was on being the highest-paid actress; that has never been my motivation. But, in the process of following my heart and doing what I love, if something like this happens along the way, it’s rewarding.”
The 30-year-old actor will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, Padmavati which also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie is scheduled to release in November 2017.
