‘Grand Masti’ writer Milap Zaveri to direct a clean comedy titled ‘Ooh La La’

Sanjay Gupta, who is known for making stylish action films like Kaante, Musafir, Zinda and more recently Shootout At Wadala will soon be exploring other genres. In fact the producer-director has roped in writer Milap Zaveri to direct his next project titled Ooh La La.

The film, which will be an out and out comedy, will be directed by Milap and produced by Sanjay Gupta’s production house.

While the details of the film are being kept under wraps, it is said to be a clean comedy film, featuring three heroes and two heroines.

Confirming the development Milap said: “Yes I am directing the film, the screenplay for which has been written by Mushtaq Sheikh, and the story by me. The film will be an outright comedy on the lines of the Housefull, Dhamaal and Golmaal series; however it will not be a sex comedy like ‘Grand Masti’. Sanjay, who has always been there for me, has entrusted me totally with this film and we are eagerly looking forward to it.”

Milap Zaveri tweeted the news about his directorial venture with his followers obn Twitter.

“Feels so great to direct #OOHLALA for @_SanjayGupta who has been my mentor all my career! He is making a mad commercial comedy just for me!”

Milap’s friends from the film fraternity also congratulated the screenplay writer for turning director.

“@zmilap @_SanjayGupta bro congrats was high time and I know u will make the funniest film ever :) big hug and Kill iT !!!!,” tweeted Jackky Bhagnani.

“@zmilap @shiekhspear 2 of my fave people… Mad talents… And I know ur gonna make a mad film! Loads of love,” wrote Sophie Choudry.
