Actress Deepika Padukone is extremely busy with multiple projects this year. While the actor is promoting her Hollywood debut film, xXx: The Return of Xander Cage extensively, she is also prepping up for her much awaited next Padmavati. But before she starts her schedule of shoot for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali project, she is heading to Bengaluru to celebrate Diwali with her family members. The leggy lass says the festival has always been special to them, “Diwali is the festival of lights, joy and happiness and has always been a very special festival for all of us. So I decided to spend quality time with my family before I immerse myself in Padmavati,”
Interestingly, Deepika’s family members’ names also signify light: father Prakash, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha. The meaning of Deepika’s name is also light. After Diwali, Deepika will soon start shootig for Padmavati, helmed by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film will mark third association of the actor-director duo after Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani. Padmavati also features actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in key roles.
On the other hand, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma will light up Diwali for some of their fans as they are set to tour four cities in two days to celebrate the festival and promote their film. As part of a marketing initiative that involves star-fan engagement, Ranbir and Anushka will travel to Chandigarh, Delhi, Ahmedabad and return to Mumbai, celebrating Diwali with fans in the cities on Friday and Saturday. The engagement activities will happen in select theatres across these cities during the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which hits the screens on Friday.
