Judwaa 2 box office collection Day 4: Varun Dhawan’s film benefits on Gandhi Jayanti, earns Rs 77.25 cr

Gandhi Jayanti turned out to be a good day for Judwaa 2. The film earned Rs 18 crore on its fourth day, thus taking the total collection to Rs 77.25 crore. The film is fast pacing towards the 100-crore club.

After beating Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and gaining the fourth spot in the list of the highest openers of 2017, Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’ is now in the list of the top 10 highest opening weekend grossers of 2017. Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh seems to be massively impressed with Varun Dhawan. “#Judwaa2 crosses ₹ 75 cr mark… Fri 16.10 cr, Sat 20.55 cr, Sun 22.60 cr, Mon 18 cr. Total: ₹ 77.25 cr. India biz. OUTSTANDING!” he tweeted. ” The ROCKING biz of #Judwaa2 hammers the fact that Studios/filmmakers need to make films for pan India audience, not for select cities/plexes,” he said.

According to a report on Koimoi, Varun Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’ is the fifth highest weekend grosser this year. His earlier film ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is also on the list as the 10th highest weekend grosser. While it’s too early to say if Varun Dhawan can supersede Salman Khan with his performance in ‘Judwaa 2′, but he has already managed to earn more than two popular superstars’ film; Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ and ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
