Jab Harry Met Sejal box office collection day 5, shah rukh khan, anushka sharma, imtiaz ali Jab Harry Met Sejal box office day 5: Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma’s camaraderie failed to impress audience.

Imtiaz Ali directorial Jab Harry Met Sejal was expected to give the box office a boost as none of the films in 2017 have shown an unexpected business so far. But to everyone’s surprise, despite a hit on-screen couple like Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, the film seems to be in free fall.

On Monday, the film fell from Rs 15.50 crores to Rs 7.15 crores at the box office, which is unusual for a Shah Rukh film. It seems quite possible that this SRK film will meet the same fate as Tubelight, which despite being an Eid release crawled towards the mark of Rs 100 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figure on his official Twitter account. He wrote, “#JabHarryMetSejal Fri 15.25 cr, Sat 15 cr, Sun 15.50 cr, Mon 7.15 cr [Raksha Bandhan]. Total: ₹ 52.90 cr. India biz… #JHMS”

Later, commenting on Bollywood’s performance in the year so far, Taran in a series of tweets expressed, “Tubelight, JaggaJasoos, MunnaMichael, JabHarryMetSejal… Bollywood is going through the worst phase… Desperate for Hits. What’s shocking, the biggies aren’t fetching the desired start at the BO… Let’s NOT blame the audience… The problem lies within. The biggest of stars need a solid story and captivating screenplay to stand on feet, to sprint, to win… Mere star power isn’t enough. Post #Baahubali2, the biz has hit rock bottom… Will #ToiletEkPremKatha prove a saviour? Let’s hope it bails out the industry.”

Jab Harry Met actor Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Aanand L Rai’s film, playing the character of a dwarf.

SRK is done. He is 50 plus and he is romancing a 30 year old in Anuksha. He should give his head a shake. Imtiaz Ali should stop giving us the same story with different actors again and again. He needs to go back to film school and it has become obvious that he had one good film in him, Jab We Met in 2007, after which he is a struggling to find himself as a film maker. He messed up the Deols by taking Jab We Met away from Bobby in 2007 and now he is going to get what is coming to him through flops. God was watching what you did Mr. Ali. As for Anukhsha, she should stop pulling funny faces and concentrate on acting. If you cannot do that you can still be a producer which you have started into now...actually with Phillauri that hasn't worked out either I guess.
