Ever since the makers announced the making of Race 3, fans have excitedly been waiting for the unveiling of the lead cast. The buzz increased manifold with the news that the much-loved Kick couple Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez will be starring in the same. And now, the makers have revealed that Poster Boys actor Bobby Deol will also be joining the lead cast.
Earlier reports had suggested that Emraan Hashmi may be cast in the hit franchise alongside Salman and even Sidharth Malhotra’s name had cropped up for the same. But now quashing all rumours, producer Ramesh Taurani tweeted, “Welcome to the family #BobbyDeol @BeingSalmanKhan @Asli_Jacqueline #Race3 #Eid2018.”

Released on 21 March 2008, the first Race film starred Saif Ali Khan, Bipasha Basu, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles. Saif Ali Khan was also cast in the sequel that released in 2013. Talking about Salman’s role in Race 3, Saif earlier told indianexpress.com, “Ramesh ji told me about this last year that he wants to make Race 3 but as a new movie with a new cast. We spoke about it and I love Ramesh ji. Who better than Salman Khan for this? I wish both of them luck. But I haven’t been approached.”
Helmed by choreographer-turned-director Remo D’Souza, Race 3 is part of one of the most successful film franchise in Bollywood currently.
