Aditya Roy Kapur, who has been signed on to play the male lead in Tamil blockbuster OK Kanmani’s Hindi remake, expressed his admiration for Dulquer Salmaan’s work.
Speaking to IndianExpress.com, Aditya said, “I have seen OK Kanmani and I really enjoyed it. I loved Dulquer’s performance. I became a fan of his after seeing his work in the film. I would love to meet him. Both he and Nithya (female lead) were smashing in the film.”
For the moment, Aditya is gung-ho about starring in the Hindi remake of OK Kanmani, a movie that made waves down south. The Hindi version will also reunite Aditya with Sharaddha Kapoor after Aashiqui 2.
Talking about the movie, Aditya said, “It is a great project for me and Shraddha to come back on because it is so different from the zone of Aashiqui and it won’t be repetitive. So it will be a new space for us.”
Speaking about working in a Tamil remake, Aditya said, “It wasn’t made in this industry. It was made in another language. So to me, they set the bar really high. Both those actors were great in the film. Of course, we will bring our own interpretation to it. It is only an inspiring thing to be working on such a strong blueprint.”
