Aspiring actress attacked, robbed in East Delhi

An aspiring actress was allegedly robbed by two unidentified men, who thrashed her when she resisted.

A 25-year-old aspiring actress was allegedly attacked by two unidentified men, who snatched her purse and other belongings and thrashed her when she resisted their attempt in East Delhi’s Vishwas Nagar area.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when the woman, who has played roles in some Hindi movies, was looking for an auto-rickshaw in Vishwas Nagar area to return to her home in Anand Vihar.

“In her complaint, the woman has told us that two men, who were in their early 20’s, attacked her and tried to snatch her belongings. When she resisted, they thrashed and pushed before snatching her iPhone and purse, which had Rs 5000,” said a police official.

A case of molestation and robbery against unidentified persons have been registered at Farsh Bazar police station and efforts are on to nab the culprits, police said.
